Most homeschool families struggle to provide the kind of structured, social, sport-based physical education that kids get in traditional schools. Seattle Homeschool PE fills that gap — with professionally coached sessions in a real indoor sports facility, available during the school day.

Every class blends aerobic conditioning, skill development, team sports, and movement games tailored to mixed age groups. Kids build fitness, confidence, coordination, and friendship — week after week.

Daily Movement

How much? What kind? How often?

Duration

Children should aim for at least 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity every day. This doesn't need to happen all at once — shorter bursts throughout the day count.

Types of Activity

A healthy mix includes aerobic activity (running, swimming, soccer), muscle strengthening (climbing, gymnastics), and bone strengthening (jumping rope, basketball).

Habit Formation

Encouraging activity early sets the foundation for a healthy lifestyle in adulthood. Consistent, joyful movement in childhood creates lifelong patterns of wellness.

Jake Phillips

Lead Instructor

Jake Phillips is a dedicated coach and educator with a passion for helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. With years of experience coaching baseball and leading youth sports, he understands the value of structured, engaging physical activity in shaping confident, resilient kids.

Jake is leading this homeschool Physical Education program to give families access to high-quality, sports-based learning opportunities that focus on skill development, teamwork, and lifelong fitness. His mission is to create an environment where kids can thrive, have fun, and discover the joy of movement.

Our new City Baseball location with a larger floorspace — purpose-built to host a wide range of activities and events. This will be the primary home for Seattle Homeschool PE once construction wraps up.
